Aarushi murder case has once again proved the insensitivity that exists in our police force while handling such manner and the pressure they find themselves in when the same is followed up by media. It also symbolized our Community which is turning “BARBARIC”. Nobody expected police to arrest the killers as soon as they arrived at the spot of crime, but there was an expectation that they would try and get as many leads as possible and then try to nab the killers. But they failed miserably, not even finding the body of the servant on the terrace.
The first time I saw it on NDTV, I thought what’s so special of this case there are 100’s of murder happening in India everyday so why focus on this? But how wrong I was; from the day 1 itself the case has turned into a very complex riddle. Police after destroying all the evidence could not find the killers so the easiest persons to target were the parents and so they were as they were in the house when the twin murder happened.
Please don’t get me wrong and think I am supporting the father, I am just asking questions on the many Loopholes left in the version by the police.
The other issue which moved me a lot was the violence of the GUJJAR community to convert themselves to ST from OBC’s for reservations. It was highly disturbing to see the events and even imagine what the leaders were demanding. They were saying we are even more backward than we actually think. This is precisely what all the students were protesting couple of years back when our great HRD minister brought in the issue of Reservation. If you do reservations on the basis of CASTE this was going to happen sooner or later. Reservations were brought in to unite our diverse communities. But I am afraid it is doing the reverse, hence we should have a strong re-look at our RESERVATION policy. I hope all the political parties have learnt a lesson from this and will find a better solution for the Under Privileged people. The violence in these protests were another sign of the growing INTOLEREANCE in our SOCIETY.
Moving on all this the other big things that happened in India were the arrival of the “GREAT KHALI”. The GOD had come to give us his DARSHAN here in INDIA. Media went behind him such a way that I have no words to describe. Everybody from Cricketers to film stars flocked with their Kids to meet the GREAT KHALI. One of our ministers has even proposed giving him some National Sports honor for bringing fame to India. Give me a break common, there are so many Wrestlers in India who have done so well in the International Events and are finding it difficult to make two ends meal and you are saying to give honor to a person who is doing acting of SPORTS. For me Khali is nothing more than a Stage Actor doing a fantastic job and that’s the end of the story. You can not give National Sports Honor to such persons, Sorry I strongly disagree with that.
How can I not mention about the IPL the league touted to change the face of World Cricket? My Team Mumbai Indians some how managed not to qualify for the Semifinals by losing 3 consecutive matches on the last ball, when they should have won all 3 of them thinking about the positions they were in the game, but then that’s the beauty of this game and that’s why we all love it.
